Ms. Gloria and Brandon in the Motor Room

Ms. Gloria and Brandon in the motor room

Probably the favorite room at the school is the "motor room". This is where we work on gross motor activities. Ms. Robin begins by leading everyone in a short "focus" activity. Then, the children are taken through a fun obstacle course which may include: crawling through a tunnel, jumping on the trampoline, rolling on a therapy ball, etc. The last few minutes are spent in "free time" with teachers keeping a sharp eye on each child to make sure no one gets hurt.

Construction Has Begun!

Future site of "Hannah's Hope".

Yes, construction has begun at the house on Chaparral. This will be the future location of Hannah's Hope. Our plan is to be moved in by the beginning of our Fall Semester which will start on August 22nd.

I would like to express our appreciation to Les and Tracy Cassidy for making this learning center a reality by donating the use of this house. None of this would be possible without their help.

The renovations are looking great! A new porch has been built, new doors have been installed and walls have been constructed to create more storage space. I will continue to update as the work progresses.
