Mary-Elizabeth Goes to Work with Mom

Ms. Robin and daughter, Mary-Elizabeth make a handprint.
Mary-Elizabeth got to go to work with Mom this Friday. During the summer, every other Friday is designated as "Family Friday". Parents and siblings are encouraged to come to school and participate in some "out of the ordinary" activities. Today, parents helped students and siblings make handprint pictures. The kids had fun and made some great handprints!

Successful Sale
Hannah's Hope raised about $2,000 this past Saturday by having a rummage sale. It was alot of hard work and we have many people to thank for our success.
Thank you, St. Christopher's for allowing us to use the parish hall for this event. We also appreciate all the donated items from the members of Gateway Community church. . .it was way more than what we expected! Many other item were donated by people in the community and parents from "Hannah's Hope". Debbie Ocanas and Barbara Zemo worked all day Friday organizing and pricing everything. Thanks to all our other volunteers who helped with the sale--Gloria Branstrom, Elbert Ocanas, Tommy, Marsha and Hayley Coulter, Jennifer Cox, Mindy Petty, Montie Spaulding and Christina Hamilton. Thank you Ernest and Liz Coulter for the delicious sandwiches and for all your hard work helping us clean up after the sale. We also appreciate the nice article by the Caller-Times promoting the sale.
Our plan is to have another rummage sale in the fall, so start saving your "stuff"! Information regarding the date and place will be coming soon.

Back to School for the Summer

Michael gets a chance to explore on his first day at "Hannah's Hope"
Today was the first day of our summer session which will run until July 29th. Both staff and students seemed eager to get started again after our short summer "break".
Something new for the summer will be Family Fridays. Every other Friday, we will be going on a field trip that will include parents and siblings. We also have a special project coming up for the siblings to participate in that should be alot of fun!
