I'm Too Cool!

Hannah O. likes her "shades".

Hannah O. sports Ms. Rebecca's sunglasses during outdoor time. It is still winter isn't it? It's January! Nevertheless, students have enjoyed the nice weather and have gotten to spend a bit more time outdoors.

Hannah Wants Sand!

Hannah works hard for her "sensory input".

Hmmm. . .maybe it's time to get a bigger sandbox.

Students from St. James Visit Hannah's Hope

On Tuesday, January 17th our students were surprised with some very special visitors. This year, in celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, St. James Episcopal School in Corpus Christi took us on as their service project. Students from the four and five year old classes came to Hannah's Hope and brought TONS of supplies, toys and other requested items. Once again, the community has reached out to our children.

It was also a good experience for our children to be around neuro-typical children. I hope we can get together again. A BIG "thank you" to St. James from all the staff and students at Hannah's Hope.

Back to Work!

Ah. . .the christmas break was nice, but it seems like teachers and students were ready to get back to school as we just completed the first week of the new semester. Our consultant, Jesse Franco, came to see us on Friday. As always, she had tons of good ideas to help us improve our program. I would like to personally thank the staff of Hannah's Hope for the wonderful job they are doing.
